The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations on our project sites in Turku, Finland. This role is responsible for coordinating, supervising and driving performance across all site activities, ensuring productivity, quality and safety standards are consistently achieved in line with company expectations, client requirements and legal obligations.

As Site Manager, you will lead Site Supervisors, Operatives and Subcontractors, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with design specifications and approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee all site operations and provide clear direction to supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.

· Liaise closely with the Project Manager and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

· Ensure the safety of all personnel and enforce Safe Systems of Work, RAMS, COSHH and task‑specific documentation.

· Conduct Toolbox Talks and attend daily briefings, progress meetings and safety meetings.

· Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality standards and company procedures.

· Read and interpret technical drawings and confirm materials meet required standards.

· Identify and resolve site issues with practical, timely solutions.

· Use construction management software for quality checks, daily records, plant management and LOLER/PUWER compliance.

· Maintain accurate documentation, monitor progress and report risks or non‑conformances.

· Oversee responsible use of plant, equipment and materials and monitor subcontractor performance.

· Act as a designated First Aider and support emergency response procedures.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

· Occupational Safety Card (Työturvallisuuskortti).

· Relevant construction qualification (minimum FiNQF Level 5 or equivalent).

· First Aid at Work qualification.

· Strong experience as a Site Manager or senior site‑based supervisor.

· In‑depth knowledge of steel, glass and cladding.

· Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including Work Equipment and Lifting Operations regulations.

· Experience with RAMS, COSHH, risk assessments and quality management processes.

· Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents.

· Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Highly organised, detail focused and able to manage multiple priorities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Fluent in written and spoken Finnish and English.
